First and foremost - Hatching eggs are not a guarantee. I do not, and cannot make any guarantees about what your hatch rates are or will be. I routinely check my eggs to ensure they have high fertility and regularly hatch my own eggs. If they drop in fertility I take them down from listings. I ship USPS priority and will only be doing Monday and Tuesday shipments this year to avoid eggs sitting over the weekend. If you purchase on a Tuesday or later they will go out the following Monday. I do not ship any eggs older than a few days. The best advice I can give if you are serious about hatching eggs is to invest in a quality incubator. It is the single biggest factor in a quality hatch. I use Brinsea 56ex’s myself and they do very well.
If you have issues with your shipment or hatch issues please let me know as I do try my best to make sure everyone has success.
For sale are 10 Black Copper Marans hatching eggs. I will include at minimum 2 additional eggs. I have been selecting for better leg feathering, coloring on females, and of course the darkest eggs possible.
The eggs pictured are accurate to color, these are hens that have been laying so they have lightened in color from when they first started to lay.
As this season progresses they will lighten even further, as this is the natural process for black copper maran hens.
These eggs are from two year old hens and are around 6-7 on the black copper marans egg color guide now, at the start of June. They will continue to get lighter as season progresses.
