PCGS 1964 Kennedy half struck on silver quarter planchet. The coin is the weight and metal of a silver quarter, at around 6.25 grams. It is half the weight of a normal half dollar (which weighs 12.5 grams)! There is much of the outer design missing, but the date is largely visible, adding to the coin's desirability. The error occurred when a silver 25c planchet was fed into a press that was striking Kennedy 50c coins, and was struck, resulting in a "wrong planchet error" half on quarter planchet. MS64 with pleasing, frosty surfaces and moderate golden/white/brown toning.
