The America the Beautiful Quarters Program was a 12-year initiative by the US Mint that ran from 2010 to 2021. It featured 56 different unique designs on the reverse (tails) side of the quarter, each commemorating a national park, forest, monument, or historical site from every U.S. state, territory, and the District of Columbia. Each year the US Mint released five different designs that were released annually from 2010 to 2020, with a final 56th design released in early 2021. Sites were honored in the order they were first established as national parks or sites. The obverse design featured a restored version of the 1932 portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan.

During ATB run, the Mint produced several versions. They produced the standard copper-nickel clad quarters found in everyday change. They produced proof sets for collectors with mirror like finishes, available in both clad and silver content. And finally for the coup de grace, they also issued a silver bullion set which consisted of large 3 inch diameter coins each containing 5 ounces of .999 fine silver. These coins duplicated the quarter designs exactly but were significantly larger. In my opinion this is one of the most underrated series of US coinage ever issued. They are artistically overwhelming, they teach the history of our country, and they contain a huge chunk of precious metal!

This auction is for one (1) 2017 ATB Frederick Douglas National Historic Site 5 oz bullion version of the coin. This coin commemorates the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site in the District of Columbia, which depicts the statesman Frederick Douglass seated at a writing desk, with his home, Cedar Hill, in Washington D.C., in the background. This design commemorates the site where the famous abolitionist lived from 1877 until his death in 1895.

I was the original purchaser of the roll of coins from an authorized US Mint dealer in 2017. The tube is currently sealed. I will break the roll to sell each coin individually, unless someone is interested in the sealed roll. If sold one at a time, I will carefully remove each coin and enclosed it in an acrylic capsule. Each coin is as pristine as the day that it was minted.

FYI, I have included pictures of the unopened roll, the rest of the pictures are stock photos of the coin, and the monster box from which the roll is removed for informational purposes. Auction is for one (1) 5 oz coin only! There are 10 coins available for sale individually. The tube / roll is currently sealed and will be opened when the first of the 10 coins is sold. If someone would like to purchase the sealed roll, please do so, before I have to open the roll. Please refer to pics and ask any questions before bidding. FYI, I will combine shipping.
