This item is clean and still in very nice condition for it's age. Everything is intact and solid. One of the wooden handles does have a split in it, but it remains firmly attached. Please do view all of the photos. 

Made of iron and wood. There is a patent date that appears to be from the early 1900s.

This appears to be some sort of a wheel for tightening via a rope that would be wound around the post on the bottom. If I'm way off and you do happen to know what exactly this is, please do let me know.

Very neat piece of history that makes for a wonderful bit of industrial decor!
