This is a goat horn, or mountain sheep horn ladle, or large spoon. The piece has been estimated to be as early as the early 1800's to mid 1800's. It was either mended, or put together using silver. Likely a cut up coin. The design motif used throughout is the circle and dot design, most commonly used from Oregon coastal Indians to Alaska. Common amongst the Haida and Tlingits. This is a museum quality piece of art being offered at a very reasonable price. This spoon measures 25 inches long x 5 1/2 " across cup.
