Small, orange pennant with image of Chaplin’s iconic character The Tramp affixed.

Circa 1915.

Chaplin was the biggest star at the Chicago based Essanay Studio and was there from 1915-1916.

The Tramp was a turning point in his career. He went on to become the first international star in film history.

This piece measures 7-3/4” x 3”.

One online source states that this and other small film star pennants were offered as mail-in premium prizes for purchasing loaves of bread and other products.

In very fine, antique condition. White printing on front intact.

Some discoloration on reverse as shown.
