One 20.66 acre registered Unpatented Arizona mining claim.  Registration current to September 1st of 2025, fees due by September 1st of 2025 to the Bureau of Land Management to keep the claim active for 2026.  For more information on the fees please see below.

An Arizona mining claim grants you exclusive mineral rights to the land, not property rights.  For further information on what these mineral rights allow, please visit the Bureau of Land Management.

Payment Information:  The above noted "buy it now" price is the full cost of this claim. There is no tax on unpatented mining claims in Arizona and our price includes all transfer fees. The Bureau of Land Management requires a yearly maintenance fee for every active U.S. mining claim, currently $200.00, due no later than September 1st of each year. If you are on a payment plan and your claim has not yet been deeded over to you, we will make sure the fee is paid and added to your balance if prior arrangements are not made.

We accept cash in person, check by mail or card over the phone as payment options.  You may choose payments or to pay the claim in full for $6,000, a 20% discount.

Payments are available to everyone.  $210.00 down payment is expected within 3 business days of purchase, or order may be cancelled.  Monthly payments of $210.00 until paid, in addition to the maintenance fee due to the Bureau of Land Management.  You are welcome to purchase and make payments on more than one claim at a time.  You may begin mining your claim the day the down payment is received.  If no payments are received within 60 days, the purchase agreement terminates.

Refund Policy:  We are confident that you will love your mining claim.  If for ANY reason you do not, or simply change your mind within 7 days from the date of purchase we will fully refund your charge, no fees, no exceptions.  Within 90 days of the date of purchase we offer a trade for any mining claim in our inventory.  There is a $100.00 trade processing fee and the difference in the cost of claims will be added/subtracted from your balance.

Location:  Gold Hog #8 is a 20.66 Acre Lode Claim located about 4 miles southeast of the town of Wenden, Arizona in La Paz County. Access is good via the El Paso gasline road and several jeep trails that traverse the area. The claim is just north of the San Marcos Gold Mine. 

Mineralization: Gold Hog #8 is a 20 acre unpatented lode claim. Part of a large group of claims. Numerous gold bearing rusty (iron stained) quartz veins are exposed in the washes, slopes, small prospect pits and ridge tops. Many of these veins are concealed with a thin cover of alluvium. The host rocks are altered, coarse grained granite, granite gneiss with abundant limonite and small bands of mica schist.

The Gold Hog Group is situated on or along the main detachment fault that runs from the Belmont Mountains, located southeast, up  through the Gold Leaf, the San Marcos and the Gold Hog, on to the northwest into the Whipple Mountains in California.

I personally have picked up pieces of rusty quartz float with visible gold in streaks and specks down-slope from the San Marcos area. Our testing in washes, gulches and bed-rock crevices has produced a fair amount of placer gold, fines, flakes and pickers.

What’s Next:  On the next business day, you will receive an email from us that includes: your receipt, a copy of the topographical map for your claim, a link to your claim plotted in Google Earth and the GPS coordinates for your claim.

Within 2 weeks you will receive your claim packet in the mail that will contain hard copies of these documents as well as the Location Notice and a full size topographical map. Upon payment in full, we process the claim into your name with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and County.

You are responsible for the annual maintenance fee due to the BLM prior to September 1st, effective upon date of purchase, in order to keep the claim active. The current rate is $200.00.
