Fewer moving parts extends service life. 1ATR2 is designed to replace any previous generation of Flushmate series, including 500, 501, 501-A, and 501-B (except American Standard fixtures). 2VRN8 is designed to replace series 500, 501200, 500, and 501-A series. However, if the porcelain tank lid is resting on the upper supply, it may need to be shimmed up on the opposite side to level it out. Another option is to get a new Flushmate system. Flushmate vessels and components do not retrofit into gravity type toilets. They are only used with Flushmate-equipped toilets.
